Meal Mates Volunteer

If you are responsible, caring, and compassionate, you can play a critical role by assisting dependent elderly residents at mealtimes.  You can provide encouragement and nourishment by giving verbal cues to eat, physically guiding residents to feed themselves, and spoonfeeding those individuals who are dependent on caregivers.  A one-hour training session will be offered by a speech pathologist and "on the job" training with certified nursing assistants.
