MIT Nonprofit Case Competition

The MIT Minority Business Association is looking for both consultants and nonprofit organizations that focus in the field of education to assist us in presenting a nonprofit case competition in January 2010. The structure for the event is as follows:

* Having a groups of 4 people work with a nonprofit. Each company would present a problem they have had within their firm and the students would have the opportunity to ask them questions and then ultimately prepare a presentation for a final symposium.

* Our timeline for the competition is as follows
o Wednesday: What is a case competition? What is a Nonprofit? What is consulting?
o Thursday: Provide modern topics in education and give students the chance to look over the information
o Friday: Send a notification of teams and list expectations
o Saturday/Sunday: Research and Planning
o Monday: Assign Case Topic
o Tuesday: Allow students to meet a company representative to answer any questions they may have
o Wednesday: Research and Planning
o Thursday: Practice Presentation
o Friday: Final Symposium
