Voter registration deadline for the February primary election

Wednesday, January 16th is the last day to register to vote and change party enrollment for the 2008 Presidential Primary. The town/city hall will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to facilitate voter registration. In towns with fewer than 1500 persons, voter registration sessions will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visit the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' webpage here for further information, or to download a voter registration application.  read more »

Boston Civic Summit Planned

According to an article in this morning's Metro, there are plans to hold a civic engagement summit in Boston. The plans are being discussed by Boston City Council President Maureen Feeney, and the initial focus appears to be on address the low turnout in recent City elections.  read more »

IMPACT National Student Conference on Service, Advoacy, and Social Action

March 7-9, 2008 This conference is the continuation of a 24-year annual conference previously known as the COOL Conference and more recently known as the Idealist Campus Conference.
